Meet Dr. Kathleen Eimers
Dr. Kathleen Eimers (Au.D.) obtained her doctorate in audiology from Central Michigan University in 2012. Dr. Eimers is licensed in the state of Michigan. She is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She initially became interested in the field of audiology while she was attending Northern Michigan University, for her bachelors degree. During her time there, she worked in a research laboratory that focused on age-related hearing loss, noise-induced hearing loss and tinnitus. It was her research work that ignited her passion to help individuals dealing with hearing loss.
Dr. Eimers moved to Northern Michigan in May of 2011 to practice audiology. Prior to opening her hearing clinic, she was an audiologist at Petoskey Ear Nose and Throat Specialists for five years. She has experience performing diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid selections, and the fitting and verification of amplification for all ages. Dr. Eimers also has experience in vestibular testing and BAHAs.
“I feel so much passion for what I do. Hearing loss can really isolate an individual and keep them from enjoying their family, friends, and activities they love. My goal is to develop a professional, trusting relationship with my patients and help them obtain better hearing to improve their quality of life.”
Dr. Eimers was raised in the Upper Peninsula and is very proud of her Yooper roots. Dr. Eimers also served in the Michigan Army National Guard from 2000 to 2008. She married her husband, Treavor, in September of 2014. She and her husband welcomed their first child, a daughter, in May of 2016 and their second daughter in December 2018. When she is not working, Dr. Eimers enjoys taking ballet classes, running, traveling, and spending time with her family.
